Meets at LITTLE AMERICA RESTAURANT
The Monday Breakfast Group is comprised of church-oriented men and women. The attendance varies from 14 to 30, driven by interest and personal activity.
Our meetings are normally scheduled on the first Monday of the month, unless otherwise directed by holidays or scheduling conflicts.
Little America Restaurant is located across the street from the Mount Prospect Post Office. Bring a healthy appetite as there are special menu items offered, as well as the printed menu. A lesser fare of rolled oats and toast is also available. (The speaker's breakfast is free! There is no budget to offer a gratuity to guest speakers, but the free breakfast helps!)
Meetings start at 8:00 a.m. A brief devotional message is volunteered by one of the group members. Following this, the food specials are announced and the order taken. If there are any announcements, they are made at this time. A major part of the meeting is centered around fellowship and conversation. At 8:45 am the featured speaker is called upon for the morning's presentation. An brief opportunity for questions is provided at 9:15 am, assuming the speaker has not entertained questions during the presentation. The Monday Breakfast Group program officially concludes at 9:30 am, although frequently attendees linger for further discussion or general conversation. (Note: We understand that it may be necessary to depart prior to the conclusion of the program due to personal appointments or obligations.) |
