Welcome to First United Methodist Church!

Membership in The United Methodist Church is open to all who profess belief in God through Jesus Christ.

You may become a member by any one of three ways:

• TRANSFER OF MEMBERSHIP

You may request that your membership be transferred to this congregation from any other United Methodist Church.

• MEMBERSHIP VOWS

If you are a member of another Christian denomination, you may respond affirmatively to the following membership vow:

"Will you be loyal to The United Methodist Church and support this congregation by your prayers, your presence, your gifts and your service?"

• BAPTISM AND PROFESSION OF FAITH

Baptism recognizes God's love and acceptance of you as God's own child.  If you have been baptized in any other Christian denomination, that baptism is recognized as valid by The United Methodist Church.  We do not "re-baptize."

Profession of Christian Faith:  If you have never been confirmed or joined a Christian Church, then you are invited to profess your Christian faith.

"Coffee With The Pastors" is held quarterly to explore membership and ask questions.

A course on United Methodism for inquiring newcomers, new members, and those who want to learn more is offered each year.
